Wags ‘n Whiskers’ founder and head trainer, Merritt Milam, spoke with Z Living about tips for keeping pets with a sitter during the holidays. Merritt advises pet owners to visit the pet hotel or boarding facility prior to making arrangements to have pets board for the holidays. “Insist on touring the whole facility, front to back,” Merritt said. “If they won’t let you go in an area or room, don’t trust it. And don’t leave your pet there.” Merritt also told Z Living that this is one reason she chose to start her own pet care facility. “One reason that I started this day care is that I didn’t want my dog in a yard with 30 other dogs and one pet sitter.” Read article.
