Wags ‘n Whiskers founder and head trainer, Merritt Milam, recently spoke with Forbes about ways new dog owners can save money. “Consider a pet from a rescue instead of a breeder, as these pets will usually be microchipped and vaccinated,” Merritt said. These pets may also be spayed or neutered, which can save owners hundreds of dollars. Merritt also told Forbes that pet owners should look for package deals on boarding and daycare.
